Si actualmente no hay dudas de que los Concerti Armonici atribuidos a Giovanni Battista Pergolesi fueron escritos por Unico Wilhelm van Wassenaer, no sucede lo mismo con los dos Conciertos para flauta, cuyo manuscrito fue encontrado en Estocolmo a comienzos del siglo XX. Porque dicho manuscrito, aunque dice que son de Pergolesi, fue hecho por un copista poco hábil que no merece confianza. El estilo de estos conciertos, sin embargo, está mucho más cerca del de Pergolesi que el de los Conciertos armónicos. Debieron ser escritos por un flautista italiano buen conocedor de la técnica del instrumento, particularmente de la respiración.
If there is currently no doubt that the Concerti Armonici attributed to Giovanni Battista Pergolesi were written by Unico Wilhelm van Wassenaer, that is not the case with two Concertos for flute, which manuscript was found in Stockholm in the early twentieth century. Because this manuscript, despite announcing to be Pergolesi music, was cast by a little skillful copyist that can not be trusted. The style of these concerts, however, is much closer to that of Pergolesi than the Concerti Armonici. It should be written by an Italian flutist who knew quite well the technique of the instrument, particularly breathing.
