Although the Symphony No. 3 "Organ" by Camille Saint-Saëns is composed of two parts, the development includes nearly the four traditional movements. What is not so traditional it is the requirement of an orchestra with enlarged wood, brass and percussion, the piano played at two and four hands and the organ. The author succeeds well in obtaining such richness of timbre and melodies that has made this symphony a favorite for lovers of high fidelity.
