Contrary my own rule of not to publish vinylswithout proper identification, today I will post a copy on tape of two discs of 7" of which Ilost the original data. They are playing recordingsof Francis Chapeletwith the 18th century organs of Villasandino (Burgos) and Paredes de Nava (Palencia). Chapelet is a specialist in Iberian organ, to the study and restoration of which he has devoted much of his life. He has several LPs ofHarmonia Mundi label. The works I propose are really interesting to hear because of thedistinctive sound of the Iberian organ.

The flute is an instrument of great leadership throughout the entire history of music. From the Baroque era that role is underlined by the demands of an increasing virtuosity. The four-disc collection that is "The Art of the Flutefrom the 17th to the 20th century" provides a full musical summary with performances by who is considered by many (among which I am) the best flutist of all time: Jean-Pierre Rampal.
