En este EP Andrés Segovia interpreta un tema renacentista del vihuelista español Luis Milán, una Fantasía de las varias que compuso para ese instrumento antecesor de la guitarra clásica. El resto del disco está dedicado a dos compositores latinoamericanos: Heitor Villa-Lobos, brasileño, muchas de cuyas partituras para guitarra estrenó el maestro Segovia; algo similar cabe decir de los Seis Preludios de Ponce, sin duda el compositor mexicano de música culta más conocido a escala mundial.
